6.2.2 Conguring PPPoE for WAN

To congure PPPoE settings

1. Select PPPoE from the Connection Mode drop-down list as shown in

Figure 6.1.

2. (Optional) Enter the host name if required by your ISP.

3. If you are connecting to the Internet using PPPoE, you probably only

have to enter User Name and Password in the PPPoE Conguration

page as shown in Figure 6.1, unless you want to use your preferred

DNS servers.

4. (Optional) Enter the IP addresses for the primary and secondary DNS

servers if you want to use your preferred DNS servers. Otherwise, skip

this step.

5. Choose a connection option and enter the appropriate setting if desired.

The default setting is “Disable”.

6. Click <

Apply

> to save the PPPoE settings when you are done with the

conguration. You will see a summary of the WAN conguration at the

bottom half of the configuration page. The default gateway address

is not shown immediately. Click on the

WAN

menu to open the WAN

conguration page again.
